Art Vox

The team at Art Vox asked for me to create a multi-step form.

The pages would include personal, contact and secure information. In addition to creating these specific pages, I needed to also include fields that included the following:

• First and Last Name

• Date of Birth

• Email Address

• Password

• Phone Number

• Mailing Address

The Brief

Art Vox is a hypothetical project that I created during my Google Coursera course.

Art Vox is a new luxury auction eCommerce. The customers are creative and artistic but fun.

Designing the Interface

Font

I selected Helvetica as the font because it is easy to read and clear for users. This is especially important when filling our forms.

Colors

The images I used were inspired by the luxury eCommerce website, The Real Real. You are able to access their exclusive offerings once you make an account. This helped to not only inform the inputs, but also the images selected.

Afterwards, I selected colors that were accessible but also rich in hue to complement the stylistic and editorial images.

Takeaways

In the end, I felt like I really had some fun with the overall look and feel of this hypothetical project. I not only added personality with the images selected, I also got to play with the wording of each page. This made me feel like it brought the website to life and gave it a personality of its own.

It was a great exercise to practice UX writing and visual design and taught me how a little can go a long way.
